Terms of service

MWYMI sells placement on a public leaderboard. When you pay, the amount is added to your take on that board, and your take is displayed in rank order against everyone else's. That is the entire product.

You are not buying a chance to win anything. There is no prize, no pot, no payout and no return. Money paid to MWYMI is revenue to MWYMI, not a stake held for you or anyone else. This is not a wager, a contest of chance, a securities offering, or an investment.

All payments are non-refundable. Placement is delivered the moment payment settles, so there is nothing to return. Being outranked later is the expected behaviour of the product, not a failure of it.

Minimum first stake is $2. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

You may post as many takes as you like, on as many boards as you like, and add money to any take you already hold. Rank is the total staked on that take. Takes are limited to 240 characters.

Your words are locked once they have been paid for — you can add money to a take, but you cannot rewrite it. This exists so that nobody can buy the top spot with a mild opinion and then swap in something else.

You choose, each time you pay, whether your take carries your name and handle or shows as Anonymous. You can change that choice on a later payment, including revealing a take you first posted unsigned.

Anonymous means hidden from the board, not hidden from us. Your account still owns the take — that is how top-ups and outbid notices work — and we will disclose it if we are legally required to. Do not treat it as protection for anything you would be in real trouble for saying.

Argue as hard as you like. Do not post: threats or incitement to violence, slurs or harassment aimed at a person or group, sexual content involving minors, doxxing or private information, illegal content, spam, or impersonation.

Takes are screened automatically before payment. We may also remove a take at any time, at our discretion. A removed take is not refunded — the rules are published here, in advance, and you agreed to them before paying.

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting, you grant MWYMI a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and share your take and handle in connection with the service, including in share cards and promotional material. Everything you post here is public by design.

You must be 18 or older. One account per person. Handles are permanent. We may suspend an account for abuse, fraud, chargeback activity, or attempts to manipulate a board through multiple accounts.

The service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uptime, that a board will stay open, or that any take will remain visible for any length of time. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous thirty days.
